Murder in fair Verona? 

As you may well be aware, two star-crossed lovers recently met an untimely demise; they have been identified as Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. Verona Times Newspaper is doing a themed article, and as a truth-seeking reporter, you have been approached with the task of uncovering the true reason behind Romeo and Juliet’s tragic deaths. 

If you choose to accept, you will ultimately determine whether someone should be accountable with the charge of their murder, or whether, your findings lead you to believe that it was more so circumstantial. In undertaking this task you are required to thoroughly investigate the members of both families involved in the feud, the Montagues and the Capulets, and choosing a single character to focus your report on, divulge their influence upon the deaths. 


Furthermore, you may wish to discuss how the feud impacted your chosen character and what role they personally played in Romeo and Juliet’s death. Compare and contrast the conclusions you have drawn with the varying interpretations presented in the alternate movies, and argue which ‘news clip’ is more effective in portraying the characters.

2. How the family feud ultimately impact on this character?
3. What was their role in Romeo and Juliet’s death?
4. Compare and contrast these conclusions you have come to with the interpretations given.
